WordPress Development Course FAQs
No prior coding experience is required to get started. The first two modules are specifically designed to build your HTML, CSS, and PHP foundations before diving into WordPress development. However, if you already have some coding knowledge, you can move through those modules quickly and reach the advanced content faster. We've structured the course so it works for complete beginners and experienced developers alike.
The course contains over 120 hours of content across 8 modules and 18 sub-sections. If you dedicate 1–2 hours per day, most students complete the full program within 2 to 3 months. The course is entirely self-paced, so you can take longer or move faster depending on your schedule. Lifetime access means you can always come back to revisit any module.
Yes. Upon successfully completing all modules and the capstone project, you'll receive a verified digital certificate of completion. This certificate can be added to your LinkedIn profile, portfolio, or resume. While it is not a university-accredited certificate, it demonstrates a concrete, project-based skill set to potential clients and employers in the WordPress development space.
Most tools used in this course are completely free. We use LocalWP for local development, VS Code as the code editor, and the free version of WordPress. Some lessons demonstrate ACF Pro and WooCommerce — while WooCommerce is free, ACF Pro requires a paid licence. We provide guidance on using the free ACF version as an alternative, so you won't be blocked from learning even without a paid licence.
Absolutely. WordPress releases major updates frequently, and we update course content to reflect significant changes — particularly around the Gutenberg block editor, Full Site Editing, and security practices. When a module is updated, enrolled students receive a notification and immediate access to the refreshed content at no additional cost.
Yes, and that's one of the main goals of this course. By the time you finish, you'll have built multiple real-world projects — including a custom theme, a plugin, and a WooCommerce store — that you can add directly to your portfolio. The final module also covers client communication, project scoping, and handoff documentation, giving you the professional foundation to start landing freelance clients right away.
